Narrative 

From my research I found that all music videos have one convention in common with each other this is that they play all the way through with such small amounts of complete silence  that it is pretty much un-noticable. If in most music there were large amounts of silence then it would be expected to break up the song and quite possibly be found annoying by the audience. This i am sure is an absolute no in the music world and strongly advised against. However, within our first part of narrative where our two characters are in an empty hall with a magician on stage doing a magic trick, there is an extremely long silence of about 15-20 seconds. We decided to use this tome for a long slow-mo shot to really overpemphisize the length of the silence. Surprisingly for us all this worked really well and although you can feel a slight sudden stop when the first half of the music ends for the silence, followed by the non-diagetic sounds that are at the very end of the slow-mo silence it comes together very well. This dose however completely challenge conventions of music videos as it simply has not been done right in the middle of a song before.

Hardware 

Within my research I found that standard convection of music videos is to film with a good, expensive, high-quality camera. That will then attach to all sorts of things such as a study-cam a tripod and runners that are then all used to film the music video and getting smooth good quality shots. As we did not nearly have the budget to get one of these cameras along with all of the equipment it was obvious that we would have to challenge this convention. We knew however we did not want to downgrade on quality so we decided we would film in 1080dp and 4K if possible. After some test shoots with the cannon camera we released that the iPhone 6s plus and the iPhone 7plus would be more than capable of filming smooth shots at grate 4K resolution. filming with iPhones had both advantages and problems alike however, it is very rarely to almost never used to film music videos. This completely challenges the conventions set by production labels and shows that you can make grate looking music videos at a fraction of the price.
